Tahlia Phillips graduated from Swinburne University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in marketing. She has achieved a management course, Managing People for Success, at the Australian Institute of Management, and has recently completed a Master of Commerce majoring in Marketing, at Macquarie University.
Tahlia Phillips has a strong marketing background. Previously she worked for more than 8 years at Hewlett-Packard where she held a variety of marketing analysis and senior marketing management roles. Tahlia Phillips is presently the Managing Director of marketing agency Design Graphics Warehouse.
Teaching Interests
As an Adjunct Lecturer in Strategic Marketing for Macquarie University Tahlia skillfully blends complex marketing theory with practice to prepare final year students to enter the workforce. Tahlia’s enthusiasm for marketing intertwined with her ability to translate her experiences in the business world into her lecturing make for a rewarding experience for her students.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
Tahlia’s most recent role at Hewlett-Packard was heading up their Volume Business Marketing. In this role Tahlia was responsible for managing a tele-sales team and all volume marketing efforts in Australia in the Small and Medium Business space. Indeed, Tahlia has received multiple awards for her successes in her field.
- HP Pathfinder Award 2005 for best Base Business, awarded by Corporate, Small and Medium Business, Vice President, in Singapore.
- Best Marketing Program of the year 2004 by Personal Systems Group, Vice President.
- Placement within Hewlett Packard’s ‘Management for Growth’ program, designed to mentor high performing employees who were considered viable to move two levels higher than their current position (VP level).
Tahlia Phillips has presented at Australian Marketing Institute on Best Practice Marketing to over 300 marketers.
On her appointment as managing director of niche marketing agency Design Graphics Warehouse, Tahlia Phillips has built a profile in the emerging field of personalised one to one marketing. At Design Graphics Warehouse, Tahlia Phillips manages a team of creative designers web and environmentally friendly print (new media and traditional) , research and development engineering specializing in personalization, marketing consulting and relationship account managers that provide creative and personalised campaigns that ensure better than industry return on equity for her clients who include Porsche, Macquarie Bank, Symantec, ANZ Bank and Telstra.
