Marketing

Marketing is about the satisfaction of wants and needs. The study of marketing involves understanding how management personnel in an organisation identify and anticipate customers' needs, then organise resources to ensure that those needs are satisfied in a way that builds a long-term, mutually rewarding relationship between the customer and the organisation.

There are several degree programs which lead to a qualification in marketing. To transfer from another Macquarie undergraduate degree, a student must acquire at least 12 credit points and a GPA of 2.5 for BCom-Marketing or 2.0 for other BCom degrees.

Marketing majors are offered with several degrees in the Faculty of Business and Economics at Macquarie University. See the Degrees on Offer page for all the suggested programs of study.

Each of the single degree programs take three years of full-time study. The Bachelor of Commerce - Marketing with Bachelor of Law requires five years of full-time study.
